Towards a Sustainable Future
At Crendon Timber Engineering, sustainability is embedded across every stage of our operations, from design and manufacture through to delivery on-site.
We are committed to delivering timber engineering solutions that support a lower carbon footprint, while helping housebuilders and developers meet increasingly demanding sustainability targets.

Our Net Zero Commitment
We are committed to achieving a 100% reduction in Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions by 2050, in line with the UK’s Net Zero targets and the IPCC carbon reduction roadmap.
Our carbon performance is measured and tracked in accordance with the GHG Protocol, ensuring a transparent and accountable approach to sustainability.

Reducing Our Environmental Impact
We actively invest in initiatives that reduce energy use, emissions and waste across our operations:
Renewable Energy
Our Solar PV installations generate a significant proportion of our electricity requirements, reducing reliance on grid energy and lowering carbon emissions.

Efficient Operations
We have transitioned to Euro 6 delivery vehicles to reduce emissions, upgraded to energy-efficient LED lighting across our sites, and continue to improve manufacturing efficiency and material usage.

Cleaner Plant & Equipment
We have invested in electric material handling equipment, including forklifts and sideloaders, to reduce emissions within our operations.

Sustainable by Design
Timber is a naturally renewable material and plays a key role in reducing the carbon impact of construction.
All timber used within our products is sourced from PEFC/FSC certified suppliers, ensuring full Chain of Custody and responsible forest management.
Our engineered timber solutions—including Roof Trusses, Posi-Joists and Timber Frame systems—are designed to:
• Reduce material waste
• Improve build efficiency
• Support lower carbon construction methods
