Crendon Timber Frame are pleased to announce they have retained their STA Gold certification for 2026, following their recent audit.

The Structural Timber Association recently introduced a new requirement within the STA Assure audit – Fire Safety Design (Section 7), for members to demonstrate that the structural timber elements they provide meet certain technical criteria relating to fire safety and performance. To achieve the highest level of membership, Section 7 is mandatory, with no partial marks permitted. Crendon Timber Frame passed all five criteria. Crendon Timber Frame ensures that all projects that are manufactured and delivered align with the STA Fire Safety in Use Pattern book. The stringent advancement in the Structural Timber Association Fire testing, is critical to fire safety during construction.

As such, it is an important factor in NHBC warranty and for insurance purposes, and so we welcome the STA’s decision to enhance the STA Assure audit. This is a positive and timely step that raises confidence in timber frame construction and reinforces our industry’s commitment to independently verified performance, quality and assurance.”
