CTE lend a helping hand

The site at Long Crendon recently welcomed in students from Reading University who are currently studying a Master’s degree in construction. During the visit, the students spent time with different departments, giving them the opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of Crendon Timber. Within the time slot with each department, an informative briefing was given as well as a question and answer session at the end.

Amongst the sessions by departments, was a full briefing on I-Joists which included details on history, design, supply and the advantages of using them. As well as much much more. In particular, the students found the tour of the site and factory a very enjoyable experience, stating how beneficial it was for them to see exactly how it works.

The staff at LC received extremely positive feedback, as well as a thank you letter stating how much the students enjoyed their experience. CTE was very happy to help out, and wishes the students the best of luck for the future!
